Pinellas County Schools Paul B. Stephens ESE Center

This new 93,722 SF facility is located on an 18 acre site adjoining the existing Paul B. Stephens ESE Center on County Road #193, in Clearwater Florida.

This new facility is unique in its design and special equipment to meet the needs of severely mentally handicapped children of all ages. The school provides programs for trainable mentally handicapped, profoundly mental handicapped, autistic, visually impaired and deaf and hard of hearing students. There is also speech and language programs available.

The new center consisted of six single story buildings under one roof that are connected by a common central interior corridor. Each of the individual buildings, or wings, house classrooms, physical therapy rooms, a clinic, administration, media center/library, vocational labs, gymnasium, dinning area and a swimming pool.
