The Cypress Creek Middle School project will be a brand new campus of approximately 185,000 – 195,000 square feet next to the current Cypress Creek Middle High School which has been serving as both since Fall 2017.
When this new facility opens, expected in 2020, it will serve grades six through eight and be Pasco County’s largest middle school housing 1,600 student stations. The design will have a strong focus on fine and performing arts. There will be a dedicated wing with its own black box theater separate from the main building for accessibility and use after school hours.
Given that the current middle/high school is catering to grades six through 11, this project will be fast-tracked and the plan for tilt wall construction will be key. Also, since the new campus will be adjacent to the active one, Ajax will ensure the safety and separation of the students and school staff from the construction area.
