Pasco County Schools Cypress Creek Middle School

The Cypress Creek Middle School project will be a brand new campus of approximately 191,936 SF next to the current Cypress Creek Middle High School which has been serving as both since Fall 2017.

When this new facility opens, expected in 2020, it will serve grades six through eight and be Pasco County’s largest middle school housing 1,600 student stations. The design will have a strong focus on fine and performing arts. There will be a dedicated wing with its own black box theater separate from the main building for accessibility and use after school hours.

Given that the current middle/high school is catering to grades six through 11, this project will be fast-tracked and the plan for tilt wall construction will be key. Also, since the new campus will be adjacent to the active one, Ajax will ensure the safety and separation of the students and school staff from the construction area.

CURRENT STATUS (as of 3/24/2020)

In Building 1, 1st & 2nd floor all subcontractors are working on the Ajax deficiency list.  In Building 2, The sub floor for the Theater is complete. The ceramic tile in the group restrooms, VCT flooring, door hardware and kitchen equipment are being installed.In Building 3, 1st -3rd floor all subcontractors are working on the Ajax deficiency list, modifying the plumbing, electrical and casework to add the washer dryer in room 03-104 ESE Full Time and applying the final coat of paint in the corridors. In Building 4 the wood floor in the gymnasium is complete. The ceramic tile and VCT is being installed in the group restrooms and corridors along with hanging doors. On the site, the roof and canopy drains have been tied in and the football goal posts have been installed. The installation of all concrete curbs, sidewalks, irrigation and fencing installation are ongoing.
