Monroe County Schools Marathon High School Athletic Complex

This exciting project will provide Marathon High School with a brand new athletic complex totaling 530,400 square feet. Included in this will be a 2,850 square feet football and track building as well as a 680 square feet baseball and softball building. A new parking lot, storm water retention ponds, sports fields, lighting and concession stands will also be part of this new construction.

The high school will be occupied during this multiple phased project. Both Phase 1 and 2 will occur in the Summer/Fall season of 2018 through January 2019. There will be a brief intermission from January 2019 to May 2019 for the baseball and softball seasons. The project will resume then from May and complete in September.

CURRENT STATUS (as of 3/7/19)

During the month of February, Phase 1A was completed and the new parking lot was turned over for
MHS use, releasing the remainder of Phase 1 construction to begin. Sitework in Phase 1 progressed substantially through February. The storm system around the football field was completed and the fill to raise the grades was brought in and graded to shape the track and field. The parking lot storm system was wrapped up in early February and the limerock base was installed in preparation for asphalt on 02/18/19. That week, the parking lot light poles were installed, the lot was striped, the island and surrounding areas were sodded and the sidewalk were installed. The turnover inspection occurred on 02/21/19.The football concessions building pad installation began on 02/26/19 and on 02/28/19 the augercast piles were installed. Football Musco light bases are installed!
