Monroe County Schools Marathon High School Athletic Complex

This exciting project will provide Marathon High School with a brand new athletic complex totaling 530,400 square feet. Included in this will be a 2,850 square feet football and track building as well as a 680 square feet baseball and softball building. A new parking lot, storm water retention ponds, sports fields, lighting and concession stands will also be part of this new construction.

The high school will be occupied during this multiple phased project. Both Phase 1 and 2 will occur in the Summer/Fall season of 2018 through January 2019. There will be a brief intermission from January 2019 to May 2019 for the baseball and softball seasons. The project will resume then from May and complete in September.

CURRENT STATUS (as of 7/1/19)

Through the month of June, Phase 1 finish work progressed at the fields and the football concessions building and Phase 2 work ramped up with construction of the baseball concessions structure and grading of the two ballfields. The football Musco lights have been commissioned and the lights have been tested. The sod grow-in period continues. The existing football grandstands have been demolished and the new bleachers will be delivered and installed the 1st half of July. The final parking lot paving is scheduled for early July. Final prep work and added scope are being prepared now. The baseball concessions concrete structure was completed during the month of June. The backstop posts for both fields have been installed and the field perimeter fencing install is ongoing. Both the baseball and softball scoreboards are installed and all Musco lights are set and ready to be energized.
