The work at the Leon County Sheriff’s Administration Building consisted of extensive renovations to an existing 37,000 SF, 4-story structure. An additional 6,000 SF space was also constructed to bring the capacity to 43,000 SF.
The building is a true multi-use facility featuring separate offices for the robbery, task force, homicide, theft and burglary divisions. The second floor holds the dispatch system and an enhanced 911 emergency call center.
A 1,950 SF Records Storage Building, a 7,800 SF Fleet Maintenance Facility and a 5,000 SF Unit Activity Center was also included in the contract. The project was completed two months ahead of schedule.
