Knott House Museum

Florida Trust For Historic Preservation 1992 Preservation Award
1992 Tallahassee-Leon County Preservation Award

Built in 1843, the Knott House opened to the public in April 1991 as Tallahassee’s first downtown historic house museum. Complete with 10,000 artifacts, the house appears as it did in 1928.

Michael Maxwell, Chairman of the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation, stated that he and his staff were “impressed with the authenticity, accuracy, and painstaking care undertaken” by Ajax with the restoration.
